Boku Ha Tomodachi Ga Sukunai Next (1st-3rd Episodes)

Boku Ha Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) NEXT is the second season of Haganai, which was airing in Fall 2011. The story is about Hasegawa Kodaka, a transferred student who had a hard time to make friends due to his delinquent looks. One day, he saw one of his classmates, the socially-awkward-girl Mikazuki Yozora talked to her imaginary friend. Later then, Kodaka and Yozora's conversation led to the formation of Neighbours' Club.

Initially, there were only Kodaka and Yozora in the club, but then the club got others members. We met the perfect-princess-arrogant-tsundere-type Kashiwazaki Sena, the there-is-no-way-such-a-cute-kid-is-a-girl Kusonuki Yukimura, the perverted-genius-girl Shiguma Rika, and the ten-years-old-teacher Takayama Maria. Kodaka's little sister, Hasegawa Kobato (a brocon, chuniibyou who thinks herself as a vampire) later join the club, too.

The second season took setting after the summer vacation was ended, so basically it was a continuation setting from the previous series. I'm too lazy too write the summary.. so I'll just post a series of my tweets yesterday night. *slapped*

Guilty Crown (9th-12th Episodes)

Yahiro --the person who previously betrayed Shu-- ran away from the ‘Norma-Gene’ because they planned to put down Jun (his brother, who was infected by Apocalypse). The reason why he betrayed Shu was also because of Jun, the ‘Norma Gene’ offered to transfer Jun to a facility for Apocalypse treatment. Shu encountered Yahiro and then decided to help Jun, said that he couldn’t forgive Yahiro but Jun had nothing to do with them. However, Shu’s movements were monitored by Saigo (actually I'm not sure if his name is really Saigo or not, how irresponsible of me (--“)). Saigo set the trap to catch them. Shu then extracted Yahiro’s void to fight the enemies, but Jun was fused with an Endlave (some robot unit piloted by human, in this case by GHQ armies). The fused Jun asked Shu to kill him; otherwise he would kill Yahiro so he wouldn’t be a burden to Yahiro anymore. Shu couldn’t decide between the two options. In the end, Shu killed Jun when Jun was trying to kill Yahiro.

Puchimas!

Puchimas! is a spin-off of Idolm@ster series that introduced the puchi version of the idols. At first, when I learned that the shows will be going for 64 episodes, I was thinking.. ‘that many episodes?’ As I stated in the first post, 40 episodes are too many for me, then how about these 64..?

Anyway, when I tried to watch it.. it only ~3 minutes per episode, and the story is very very light, so it won’t be a problem. And the puchi(s) are so cute, especially Chihya.. I was waiting for her appearance, and finally she appeared in the 7th episode! >w<

Ikoku Meiro no Croisee Finished

Lately I seldom watch anime and I’ve no story to post here.. ^^;
I just lost interest in Guilty Crown and SAO (but I’ll finish them later), I haven’t got the 3 last episodes of Hayate, and my brain refused to watch serious show for a while (such as R;N).

Yesterday, I was searching for some refreshing show, and I decided to watched Ikoku Meiro no Croisee. The story took place at 19th century, about Yune, a Japanese girl who came to Paris to work as a helper in a blacksmith shop. At first, Claude --the shop owner-- was reluctant to accept Yune, since the shop is nearly out of customer (so he thought he wouldn’t need a helper and he couldn’t pay her either). A lot of shops around there were closed because of the influence of a wealthy family whom own the land there.

As the story goes, Claude and Yune were learned about each other cultures. But, Alice --the lady from that wealthy family--was interested in Japanese culture so she tried to persuade Yune to leave from the blacksmith and move to her house. Later, it was also revealed that Alice’ sister was Claude’s past lover.. but their relationship was ended due to the difference of their status.

I must say that the show is pretty enjoyable, especially if you tired of some harem shows or mainstream plots.. 8/10.

Chaos;Head Finished

Actually, I didn't plan to watch Chaos;Head anime. Some reviews say that the anime is a bad adaption of the VN version. So, I searched the VN instead. Got the VN. Installed it, carefully as instructed. The game was installed. It ran.

Only that the language is still Japanese.

Wonder why... the English patch was included but I guess it wasn't successfully installed.
So... because I'm kinda curious about the story... in the end I watched the anime version.

Hm, how should I put it... it not as bad as the review said, but still... it's disappointing. Chaos;Head gives us a promising storyline in several first episodes, but then it falls apart. The rest episodes runs all over the place and it fails to deliver the promised thriller.

I think I'll try to play the VN version... some other time.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Finished

Episode 3. Sayaka had a dear friend named Kamijou. Kamijou was a great violin player, but after he was involved in an accident, her fingers were injured and he couldn’t play violin anymore. Sayaka thought about Kamijou condition for her wish, but Mami told her to re-think about her real intention, was it to ‘save Kamijou’ or to ‘have Kamijou saved by her’. After that, Madoka and Sayaka encountered a Grief Seed that almost born as a new witch. Madoka then called Mami while Sayaka & Kyuubey were waiting there to watch over the Seed. Madoka and Mami came, followed by Homura. Homura claimed the witch as her prey, and told Mami that she would go by herself. Mami worried about what Homura might do to Sayaka and Kyuubey, so she restrained Homura by her magic. Before Mami and Madoka went, Homura warned Mami that the witch was different from the other witches that Mami ever fought. Madoka then told Mami that she hadn’t figured her wish, but she would become magical girl to help Mami.

[SPOILER ALERT]

Mami was so happy to hear Madoka’s words, and she fought happily after that. However, when she thought that her final attack killed the witch, its real form was released and attacked back at her. Mami was eaten by the witch. Shocked, Kyuubey asked Sayaka and Madoka to form magic contract. Before they answered, Homura came (the magic seal was released when Mami died) and defeated the witch. Homura then told them that magical girls are fighting and risk their life.

Episode 4. Still grieved by Mami’s death, Sayaka and Madoka re-think their decision. Madoka went to Mami’s place, and found out that Mami had no relatives. Then, Madoka met Homura around there. Homura said that the body of the person who died in the magical world wouldn’t return to the real world, so the person will be considered ‘missing’. After that, Madoka met her friend Hitomi, and found that Hitomi had a witch’s mark. Hitomi and other people were gathering to do a mass suicide. Madoka stopped them, but she was trapped in a magical world. When Madoka thought that she would die, magical girl Sayaka came and saved her. Sayaka finally formed a contract with Kyuubey after Kamijou told her; the only thing that could heal his fingers is a miracle. Meanwhile, another magical girl named Kyoko came to the town.

And if I have to describe the rest of the episodes... Madoka Magica is a great story... twist and unexpected turns, you'll see all of that. This show is a dark side of magical girl... the secret that lies behind them, the fate that awaits them... is despair. 9/10.
